Yoo Eun-ho (Son Ye-jin) and Lee Dong-jin (Gam Woo-sang) were once a happy married couple. The two divorce after realizing their differences, but remain as friends. As both try to get on with their lives they keep on getting tangled in each other's lives. As Eun-ho and Dong-jin try to start new relationships with other people, they will realize that they still truly love each other. But will these two give it another chance?

Synopsis:
Alone In Love is the story of a divorced couple who are still struggling to let go of each other. The drama series follows the couple, Eun Ho and Dong Jin, two ordinary people - not particularly attractive or successful - as they meet and fall in love. The couple get married but when an unforeseen tragedy casts a shadow over their relationship, they agree to cut their losses and get a divorce. But the bond between them is too strong and they are unable to leave each other alone, persistently invading each other's life, offering support, comfort, even matchmaking for the other. But why? If they accept the fact they are destined to be together they will be forced to face their past and confront the tragedy they have spent three years trying to forget about!
