Ghost Rider, the latest movie based on a Marvel Comic, is one of those stealth films that arrives in theaters with nary a press screening until the night before opening—past deadline for many writers. Usually, that means the movie reeks so much that the studio does not dare show it to critics any earlier for fear of what their poison pens might do. But in this case, what it really means is that whoever made that boneheaded decision at Sony Pictures ought to be preparing a new résumé; if he or she could not see what this truly fun piece of entertainment had to offer, it's time to get into a new line of work. Sure, it may fall under the heading of a guilty pleasure, but there is nothing wrong with that—few movies can even make that much of a promise
Synopsis:
Long ago, superstar motorcycle stunt rider Johnny Blaze(Nicolas Cage) made a deal with the devil to protect the ones he loved most: his father and his childhood sweetheart, Roxanne(Eva Mendes). Now, the Devil has come for his due. By day, Johnny is a die-hard stunt rider--but at night in the presence of evil, he becomes the Ghost Rider, a bounty hunter of rogue demons. Forced to do the Devil's bidding, Johnny is determined to confront his fate and use his curse and powers to defend the innocent
